Bibliographical Origins of the Avram Davidson Website

I first read a tattered paperback copy of The Enquiries of Doctor Eszterhazy in early 1993 and it opened doors for me in my own reading and writing. I started looking for more : when Avram Davidson died in May 1993, there were only two books in print, and so I started making a list. One thing led to another . . . In September 1995, my file of notes became the first version of the Avram Davidson Website ; this bibliographical core is found the Title Index ; the Website has continued to evolve.

The bibliographic material in this original file was published in expanded form and with extensive annotations) in the Bulletin of Bibliography, as a two-part article, A Preliminary Annotated Checklist of the Writings of Avram Davidson (Vol.53, no.1 & Vol.53, no.2, March & June 1996). Publisher : Greenwood Press, Inc., 88 Post Rd. W., Box 5007, Westport, CT 06881-5007.

Other Information

For several years there was an ongoing and wide-ranging discussion group devoted to Avram Davidson on GEnie. Some of this material was archived before that service ceased to function but it is not known whether these archives are accessible.
